Known for its nearly 900 iconic moai statues, the island offers visitors a mix of archaeology, culture, and scenic beauty with beaches and volcanic landscapes to explore.

 

In December, temperatures are pleasantly warm, averaging highs around 75°F (24°C) and lows near 66°F (19°C).

We recommend a relaxed day here to pause before continuing to the Atacama Desert.​

​In December, Santiago enjoys warm, dry summer weather, with average highs around 86°F (30°C) and lows near 57°F (14°C).
