Easter Island (Rapa Nui) is a remote Polynesian island in the Pacific Ocean, located about 2,300 miles west of mainland Chile. Known for its nearly 900 iconic moai statues, the island offers visitors a mix of archaeology, culture, and scenic beauty with beaches and volcanic landscapes to explore.
In December, temperatures are pleasantly warm, averaging highs around 75°F (24°C) and lows near 66°F (19°C).
